MAKEUP PREP STEPS

Get the most out of your makeup session by following my prep steps!

*This is just my advice for what I find works best for my clients, you absolutely are not required to do these steps*

Cleanse

Cleansing the skin day and night is the key to not only great skin but also a great makeup application!

Hydrate

Their are a couple of ways to hydrate the skin. 1. Drink lots of water 2. Use a topical skin serum (I recommend Hyaluronic serum as it draws hydration deeper beneath the skin's surface). Alternatively use a hydrating face mask once a week (especially the night before your event)

Exfoliate

Exfoliating every other day leading up to your appointment will allow for a smooth foundation application.

Hair Removal

I always recommend waxing any unwanted hair on the face 3-5 days prior to having a makeup application. This is to ensure that the skin is completely healed post-wax treatment as sometimes makeup won't stick to freshly waxed skin (Brows + lip wax are a must as makeup can often make these hairs stand out)

Moisturise

Moisturising your skin daily improves elasticity and enhances the skin's natural glow. Nourished skin is happy skin!

Facials/skin treatments

Any facials or skin treatments should be done a week prior to your appointment. If you are prepping for a special day don't try any new treatments close to the day! Always speak to your Beauty Therapist to discuss the best regime for you leading up to the big day!
